Storage
Encrypted at rest
Repository data is encrypted at rest with AES-256. Mirrors are stored separately from the GitHub account they protect.
Security
Recovery should reduce the number of things you have to trust. slerim keeps repository history in standard Git formats and encrypts stored data at rest.
Storage

Access
The GitHub App uses read-only repository access to create and update the mirror. It does not need permission to write to your repositories.
Recovery
Download a bundle and use ordinary Git to inspect its history or restore a commit. The data is not locked in a proprietary export format.
Inspect the process, use standard Git, and understand the limits before you rely on it.
Verification
A mirror is rebuilt from stored objects and checked with git fsck --full. You can also download the bundle and inspect it locally with Git.
Every push adds new Git objects to the mirror. Dated refs keep older branch tips reachable after a force-push or branch deletion.
Current status
slerim is an early product build. The demo uses seeded repositories, and paid plans are not currently chargeable. Review the recovery model and measured results before relying on it for production data.
Explore a mirror, choose a commit, and verify the restore in the demo.
