Recovery guide

Get your repository back with Git.

A restore should be a few familiar commands. Your mirror is a standard Git repository, so you can inspect it and choose the commit you need.

From bundle to working copy

Use a terminal with Git installed. Replace the example bundle name and commit with your own.

01 · Get the mirror

Download your bundle

Sign in to the recovery account and download the repository bundle. Keep the original file unchanged as your recovery copy.

02 · Rebuild locally

Clone with Git

Clone the bundle to create a normal working repository. No slerim-specific restore tool is required.

03 · Find a point in time

Inspect the history

List available commits and choose the commit hash you want to recover. Dated refs help keep earlier branch tips reachable.

04 · Continue working

Check out the commit

Switch to the chosen commit, review the files, and create a branch if you plan to continue development from that point.

$ git clone relay-api.bundle relay-api
$ cd relay-api
$ git log --all --oneline
$ git switch -c recovered-work 4f2c1ab

The commands above are an example. Confirm the bundle name and commit hash from your own recovery files.
